About GearQuiz

A desk setup that fits your body. Most buying guides tell you what's popular. We tell you what fits.

A chair that's perfect for someone 6′2″ can leave someone 5′2″ with their feet dangling, and a standing desk that bottoms out at 28″ is too high for a lot of people when they sit. So instead of one "best" list, GearQuiz asks a few quick questions and ranks products by how well their real measurements fit you.

We start with the desk itself: a calculator that sizes your chair, desk and screen to your height, then finders for office chairs and standing desks that only show products whose real adjustment ranges reach your numbers.

Our rules

  • Fit first. Rankings come from measurements and your answers, never from commissions.
  • No fake reviews. We don't invent star ratings or "hands-on tests" we didn't do.
  • Plain language. No jargon unless it helps you choose.

Who's behind it

DonatasMade GearQuiz and keeps its data up to date

Hi, I'm Donatas. I built GearQuiz because most buying guides answer "which chair is best?", when the question that matters is "which chair fits me?". The numbers that decide it, like seat height, seat depth and how low a desk goes, are published. They're just scattered across spec sheets, so I put them in one place and let the math do the picking.

I look up every measurement from the maker's own spec sheet wherever they publish one. If a product doesn't publish a number the fit depends on, it's left out rather than guessed.
